The Presidency Group was established in 1976 by Mr. Abdul Hameed with a mission to make quality education accessible to all. Starting in a modest accommodation with just 2 rooms and 4 students, Dr. Nissar Ahmed, alongside his late uncle Mr. Abdul Hameed, co-founded St. Paul’s English School, (later renamed Presidency School), with a shared vision for academic excellence.
Their relentless efforts led to the school’s steady growth in strength and reputation. After the untimely death of Mr. Abdul Hameed, the responsibility of leadership fell upon the young and determined Dr. Nissar Ahmed, who carried forward the legacy with unwavering commitment, shaping the Presidency Group into a leading educational institution.

Presidency University is a Private University, established by the State Legislature under a self- regulating act, Presidency University Act, 2013, notified in the Official Gazette, as Act No. 41 of 2013, is the last mile in the one-stop destination for education, as offered by Presidency Group of Institutions, culminating in the Ph. D Program leading to a Doctorate.
The Campus of Presidency University is a sprawling 70 acres of lush green, complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The Campus boasts of a very active and vibrant student life.
